About Becky Kerr

The story of how I fell in love with photography, and how that led me to a life taking pictures that are all about love.

Learning the photography business

I've never wanted to be anything but a photographer. From my very first camera as a little girl, I became fascinated by catching that perfect moment. My passion for it pushed me to study Photography at university, and from there out into the workplace.

My early career was taken up with glossy magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Ideal Home, Marie Claire and Good Housekeeping. It was a wonderful way to learn and sharpen all my skills, but there was something I was missing, so I went looking for the chance to restore that personal connection and meaning to my photos.

It was a move out of London and up to beautiful Bedfordshire, that finally gave me the chance to set up a business that focused more on the sort of photography that I love.

I've honestly never looked back. Every day in my job I get to meet wonderful people and I get to show them as they really are. Whether it’s bringing a boutique business to life, capturing a family portrait or a couple’s special day, I love getting to know my clients and helping to tell their story.

Some of my photos do still end up in magazines (it's always lovely to see my pictures in print!), but now I'm not taking photos for work, I'm taking them for you.

A craft and a passion

My time in lifestyle photography really gave me the groundwork to be a better photographer in every way, and now I can use that craft and process to give you the very best photos of the most important moments and people in your life.

I always focus on ensuring your photos look stunning in good old-fashioned print - not just on a screen. Whilst we live in an Insta world (and I DO love it!) it takes a little more to make sure something is perfect in print.

So whether you want a photo on your mantelpiece, a canvas on the wall or a suite of social media pictures, I know how to make them all look equally gorgeous.

Getting to know you

The best photos always come when you’re totally relaxed and comfortable with your photographer, so I make sure we all get to know each other a bit before the camera comes out!

When we have a chat, you’ll probably find out that I even spend my spare time taking photos, often of my own family (when my children let me!), and our gorgeous black lab, Coco, who gives me an excuse every day to head out for a run in the beautiful countryside around Ampthill in Bedfordshire, where we live.

After you get in touch, I’ll email you to arrange a time we can meet up in person to talk about what you’re after, whether it’s capturing every perfect moment of your wedding day, or showing off your skills in a brand photoshoot.

Not to sway you, but sometimes I even bring cake!
