This castle has been in the Berkeley family since the 12th Century, and has been host to some of history's most famous characters, including Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Francis Drake - so you'll be marrying in excellent company!
But Berkeley Castle's glory days aren't just in its past, it's won Best UK Wedding Venue at the British Wedding Awards, and whilst the Great Hall is a magnificent place for a big feast, you could always choose the Long Drawing Room for a more intimate wedding breakfast.
Outdoors, the Gun Terrace with its lovely water features and croquet lawns give you a lovely chance to catch some sunshine, or if the weather is being a little British, head inside and settle next to a roaring fire.
What a venue! You can't really ask for much more than a slice of English history, and Berkeley Castle has enough to make every guest feel like their part of a right royal event.

Berkeley Castle - wow, what a venue! It was my first time shooting there and I really hope it's not my last. The architecture allowed for some absolutely stunning shots. Mari-Anne and Adam had an unbelievable wedding day, and I was so happy to capture it for them.
